Hi lovelies,
I just got the fashion insider scoop on the new Fall/Winter Women's 2015 Maison Kitsune collection. Taking inspiration from the 70's, which is the hottest decade and trend right now, the new collection is all the rage, check out the details below.
"Winter 2015-2016 at Maison Kitsuné pays tribute to the mysterious soul and beauty of South Korea. Known as the "land of the morning calm," South Korea significantly contributes to its pop culture with design, color and patterns; this season Maison Kitsuné celebrates those aesthetics.
For its latest collection, the brand utilizes a series of sophisticated cuts and details for women. Luxurious, refined and textured fabrics are boldly combined in the season's patterns - houndstooth, stripes, checkered prints – and playfully juxtaposed. As a result, the mixture of volumes, lengths and layers offsets slightly androgynous neo-urban silhouettes.
A handsome palette of neutrals – black, grey and an array of blues – is counterbalanced with soft shades of white, ecru and sand, and further illuminated with dashes of red and silver.
Inspired by the delicate dream-like drawings of South Korean artist Moonassi, and the trigrams represented on the South Korean flag, Maison Kitsuné presents brand new screen-printed pieces and prints, which allude to these designs.
"Kim" becomes "K.I.M,” short for "Kitsuné Institute of Music,” a nod to Kitsuné's musical heritage.
Conceived by co-founders and creative directors Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, Maison Kitsuné's "K.I.M" introduces a smart women's collection playfully reminding of the style and spirit of the 1970s."
