The New Year is officially in full swing and one thing on my 'Live Your Best Life Now' resolutions list is to laugh more and to try new things. Luckily for me, I have Gabrielle Moss' book, Glop, to help keep me on track.

The hilarious book is a light-hearted spoof on Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle site, Goop. Although I'm a huge fan of Gwyneth Paltrow, Gabrielle Moss' adaptation of Goop, has something for everyone and appeals to a broader audience because it takes the super seriousness out of “finding our purpose and balance in life” and allows us to just laugh at ourselves while we run from a pliates-barre class to a vaginal steaming session, all while on a gluten-free-paleo-coconut-oil-steamed-everything-planted-based diet.

#1: Sitting Very Still & Staring Blankly Ahead: A 21-Day Plan
One of my top New Year's resolutions is to take the time to meditate for at least 15 minutes everyday and I have to admit, taking the time to set an intention for the day and calm my mind has already been a game changer in my life.

However, Gabrielle's take on meditating includes having a stress intern that writes down all of your stressful thoughts and I can't lie, I'm seriously thinking of employing my 12 year old niece to be my stress intern as I continue my journey of decluttering my head space.

I've been a pescatarian for awhile now but I'm always on the hunt for new ways to eat healthier and to rid my body of any unwanted toxins and impurities. Get picture perfect with Glam Boutique Spa

Since booking my new show on Disney Interactive called Hello! Disney Style Live, making sure that my skin is picture perfect and always camera-ready has never been more important to me. While at the spa, I received the Red Carpet Facial. Admittedly, I was a bit nervous because it was my first facial but the whole process was super relaxing and intimate. The Red Carpet Facial is a combination of Glam Boutique Spa's Microdermabrasion treatment followed by a Hydrafacial and then concluded with an Intraceuticals Oxygen facial. My skin is mix of dry and oily, so it was perfect that this particular facial is able to applied to all types of skin. 

Once the facial was over, my face felt smooth, healthy, and strong. My face was literally glowing and I loved the dewy look of my skin. Lindsay was gracious enough to give me samples of the skincare products that she uses and I've been able to maintain that fresh out of the salon look thanks to the spot treatment, moisturizer, and clay mask.

3 Style Tips To Transform Your Look For Fall

As I stock up on comfy sweaters, fuzzy legwarmers, and pumpkin spiced lattes, I got to thinking as to why it’s only during the Spring and warmer months that we focus on revamping, transforming, and ‘spring cleaning?’ Why should those months get all of the fun?

So I decided to give Fall, which is my absolute favorite time of the year, some love and try out three new fun and easy ways to transform my style during the cooler months.

Style Tip #1: Transform your smile with Colgate® Optic White®

One of my favorite pieces that’s currently in my closet is a mixed-fabrication sweater that has a white sheer body paired with heather grey sleeves made out of super soft cotton. I also love pairing a faux-fur vest with my looks for Fall. The added fabrication makes any outfit look polished and sophisticated. 

Another key piece for Fall are mixed fabric leather jackets. I love leather jackets that have leather sleeves but a soft suede body. Patchwork denim is another way to rock the mixed fabric trend.

The Ultimate Guide to Girls Night In with Stirrings

Last week, I tried a lemon drop cocktail created with Stirrings® Simple Lemon Drop Martini Mix, and it's sweet yet subtle taste reminded me of when I was in college. You don't have to spend a ton of money to spruce up your place for the evening. I suggest just adding a few vases of fresh flowers. This simple addition will add new life and dimension into any room along with leaving a pleasant aroma. 

Another tip to easily up your décor game when hosting a party is to light scented candles. The lovely scent and added warmth will make your guests feel welcome, comfortable, and right at home.

Easy Party Planning Tip #2: Get creative with your cocktails

My friends are a beautiful group of smart, strong, funny, eclectic, and inspiring pack of #GirlBosses, so I want to make sure I have a cocktail to match each of their personalities without being a slave to the kitchen all night.

How to make the cocktail:

• Combine 1.5 oz of Ketel One® vodka and 3 oz of Stirrings Simple Blood Orange Cocktail Mixer into a shaker of ice
• Shake for 10 seconds or until chilled
• Strain into a glass of your choice 
• Lightly squeeze a few blackberries until softened and then add to them to the cocktail

How to make the cocktail:

• Combine 1.5 oz of Smirnoff® Vodka with 1.5 oz Stirrings Simple Pomegranate Martini Mixer and 1.5 oz Stirrings Simple Cosmopolitan Mixer into a shaker of ice 
• Shake for 10 seconds or until chilled
• Strain into a glass of your choice

• Add in a few splashes of champagne

Easy Party Planning Tip #3: Tasty Treats

Admittedly, I'm not the best cook in the world, so when it comes to hosting parties, I get a little intimidated by the idea of cooking for my friends. 

So if you're like me, and you want an easy way to make sure that your guests are full and satisfied without sacrificing hours next to the oven then opt for food items that don't need much prep or cooking time. Check out the list below for my go-tos. 

My party food go-tos:

• Hummus and pita bread
• Meat and cheese platters
• Mini pizzas that come pre-made (just heat and serve)
• Veggies and dip
• Sushi and edamame 
• Mini sandwiches 
• Pre-made sliders (just heat and serve)

You can also do a potluck where you ask your friends to bring their favorite dish and you simply supply the delicious cocktails and entertainment.

Easy Party Planning Tip #4: Automate the entertainment

The last thing you want to be worried about during a night in with your girls is what to do for entertainment. That's why I suggest to make your entertainment automated and all queued up before my guests arrives. 

An easy way to do this is to create a list of movies in the “My List” section of Netflix that is in alignment for the theme of the night, for us, that's tear-jerking and laugh-inducing romantic comedies. Having a list of movies already put together to choose from eliminates a ton of time of scrolling and searching throughout all of Netflix for the ultimate chick flick.

You can also create a playlist on Spotify of fun, upbeat songs for the night, so you and your friends can rock out to tunes without missing a beat. Also have a few games on deck, like Cards of Humanity, and Truth or Dare, to keep the laughs and fun going all night.

I was lucky enough to attend the Jon Gheri Couture Fashion Show and it did not disappoint. From the designs, hair, make-up, jewelry, to the decadent decor, at every turn was style and grace. Check out the insider fashion scoop and pics below.

"Jon Gheri presents a Vintage Couture Fashion Show at the Los Angeles International Airport Hilton Ballroom, 5711 W. Century Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90045, on Sunday, October 23, 2016. 

Jon Gheri will be showcasing senior designers from Jon Gheri Couture as well as emerging designers that have been mentored under the direction of Gheri Legree.  

Red Carpet begins at 3:00 pm. Hors d'oeuvres will be served during the event. The show begins at 4:00 pm featuring vintage influenced fashion designs with theatrical performances from jazz and gospel artists. 

The evening will include a presentation from 14-year-old business leader Niamani Knight from STREAM Kids Expo. 

The mission of STREAM Kids Expo™ is to close the gap between Today’s Education and Future Employment Opportunities. S.T.R.E.A. M.  listens to kid’s interest; and creates unique learning experiences for kids based upon their interests and personal goals."

Gheri LeGree is a native New Yorker born and raised in Queens, New York. As a child, she developed a passion for fashion, often spending hours sewing clothing for herself, family, and friends. Following her graduation from Forest Hills High School, she took the first step in establishing a career in fashion in Long Beach, CA to study Fashion Design at Brooks College.

3 Favorite Things: #GoodbyeSugar30 Challenge with Splenda

It's been 30 days since I started my Goodbye Sugar 30 Day Challenge hosted by SPLENDA® Naturals Stevia Sweetener and I couldn't feel happier and healthier.

Since it's been a truly transformative experience, I wanted to share my three favorite things that I discovered about myself during the challenge. Check them out below and let me know what you think!

Once I signed up for the Goodbye Sugar 30 Day Challenge I started receiving daily emails from Splenda with tips and support on how to maximize my results from the challenge.

One of the recipes that I came across during the Goodbye Sugar 30 Day Challenge, was the Blueberry Pomegranate Smoothie recipe. I decided to put my own spin on it ans swap out the blueberries for blackberries and I have been starting my day with this yummy smoothie ever since.

INGREDIENTS:

2 packets of SPLENDA® Naturals Stevia Sweetener
1/2 cup blackberries
1/2 cup 100% pomegranate juice
1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt

DIRECTIONS: 
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Process until smooth.

NOTE:
Serving size: about 8 fl. oz.
