A few months ago I came home after an event and plopped on my couch, made some mint tea, and turned on my DVR full of my favorite Bravo TV shows. But little did I know that I was about to be in a for beauty treat.
As usual, I took my gift bag from the event and turned it upside down and tossed all of the goodies next to me on the couch. Luckily for me, out popped an eyebrow gel from The Brow Gal. You all know that I'm obsessed with perfecting my smokey eye but I definitely need help when it comes to getting my eyebrows on fleek.
The next morning while going through my usual routine of coffee, meditation, peanut granola with vanilla almond milk, and getting ready, I timidly tried to do my brows. I brushed my brows, added some eyebrow pencil, and then whipped out my new eyebrow gel from The Brow Gal. It glided on smoothly and made sure that every eyebrow hair was flawlessly in place while always looking natural, which is super important to me when it comes to my look. It lasted all day long and I was instantly hooked.
Recently, I stopped by for a session with the eyebrow whisperer herself, Tonya Crooks, who quickly became one of the coolest, most down-to-earth, and inspirational women that I've been fortunate enough to meet, even though she's been featured in Allure, Cosmopolitan, InStyle, ELLE, Us Weekly, and PEOPLE, and have worked with Megan Fox, Fergie,Julia Roberts, Eva Mendes, Britney Spears, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Molly Sims, Chelsea Handler and LeAnn Rimes.
She was funny, super smart, and made me comfortable from the moment I walked in the door. There was witty banter between her and her assistant and I chimed in as well on all things pop culture and politics and before I knew it, I had my Lily Collins-inspired eyebrows. My usually bushy brows where flawlessly shaped and filled and they framed my face in a way that I had never seen before. My eyebrows were officially #onfleek.
What's even more impressive than The Brow Gal's enviable line of eyebrow gels, powders, pencils, sharpeners, scissors, and supplements, is that Tonya is expanding her empire and will soon have a new place on Melrose Avenue. But in the meantime, you can book an appointment with her at her salon on Beverly Blvd.
Her kindness and generosity continued as I was leaving my session when she gifted me with her coveted Skinny Eyebrow Pencil, in #2, the one she made especially for Megan Fox, so I could recreate the look at home. I'm officially a fan.
