3 Style Tips To Transform Your Look For Fall

Hi lovelies,

As I stock up on comfy sweaters, fuzzy legwarmers, and pumpkin spiced lattes, I got to thinking as to why it’s only during the Spring and warmer months that we focus on revamping, transforming, and ‘spring cleaning?’ Why should those months get all of the fun?

So I decided to give Fall, which is my absolute favorite time of the year, some love and try out three new fun and easy ways to transform my style during the cooler months.

Style Tip #1: Transform your smile with Colgate® Optic White®

My mom used to always tell me that the most important thing to wear is a smile. And she’s right. After just three weeks of using the Colgate® Optic White® Toothbrush + Whitening Pen I saw a noticeable difference in my smile. My teeth were whiter, brighter, and healthier than ever. I even started using less make-up because my smile became the hero of my face rather than my signature smoky eye.

Truth be told, I noticed a difference the very first day I started using the Colgate® Optic White® Toothbrush + Whitening Pen and the results only kept getting better the longer I used it. It was easy to keep using it because I don’t have to wait a super long time for the gel in the built-in whitening pen to work its whitening magic or deal with messy rinsing afterwards. Style Tip #2: Transform your hair and go darker

During the warmer months I usually rock blonde ombre locks, but now that’s cooler outside I opted to go with a darker look. I’m currently sporting chocolate brown hair with bangs and I couldn’t be more obsessed with my new look.

So if you’re a blonde, now is the time to go a bit darker and opt for darker low-lights rather than blonde highlights. Already a brunette? Then don’t fret, add in some red streaks for extra edge or try caramel-colored highlights for the Fall.

Style Tip #3: Transform your style by experimenting with fabrics

Mixing and matching fabrics is a great way to transform your look for Fall because it’s the perfect way to layer while adding dimension and not just bulk to your look. One of my favorite pieces that’s currently in my closet is a mixed-fabrication sweater that has a white sheer body paired with heather grey sleeves made out of super soft cotton. I also love pairing a faux-fur vest with my looks for Fall. The added fabrication makes any outfit look polished and sophisticated.

Another key piece for Fall are mixed fabric leather jackets. I love leather jackets that have leather sleeves but a soft suede body. Patchwork denim is another way to rock the mixed fabric trend.

Summer Style with Banana Republic at the Connector L.A.'s Summer Soirée

Just because it's finally summer time that doesn't mean that it's all work and no play. But luckily for me, as a fashion and lifestyle blogger and social media influencer, I usually get to play at work. However, that means creating outfits that reflect both my personal style and professional demeanor. So when I was invited to attend The Connector L.A.'s Summer Soirée for Influencers at The Penthouse on Sunset Blvd., I turned to Banana Republic for the ultimate summer style outfit the would be both fashion-forward yet timeless and chic.

The event was hosted by Diana Madison, Elaine Daneshrad of Fashionlane, and Caroline Baudino, nd during the soirée we enjoyed a light and lovely sustainable lunch by Kore Kitchen while previewing the works and designs of Isabella Huffington, Making Art and Breaking Hearts, Tara Hirshberg, Retrospecs, Art Department, J/Hadley, George Esquivel, Paolita Beach, and Karma el Khalil.

Since I was among such a fashionable and influential group, I needed to make sure that I was Insta-ready at all times, thus I choose a head-to-toe outfit all styled in Banana Republic pieces that were perfectly on-trend for summer style with a touch of professional polish.

Summer Trends:

Heavy Metals:
Since metallics is such a huge trend this summer and will be sure to continue into the fall. I choose a pair of strappy silver metallic high-heeled sandals for my look. The Bev Cutout Heel gave me just enough lift to elongate my legs but was comfortable enough to be on my feet all day going from event to event and meeting to meeting.

Make a Statement:
I always love a good statement piece. Whether it's a pop of color with a bold clutch or a sequined jacket over a little black dress, the statement piece is by far my most favorite piece to shop for and wear. I'm officially obsessed with feathered and jeweled statement necklace that I can mix-and-match with dressier outfits or play it cool and casual with jeans and a vintage tee. Be Flirty in Florals:

The 5 Best Fashion Looks and Trends for Spring

Even though we just wrapped Fashion Month with runway shows from New York, Paris, London, Milan, Hong Kong, and even Los Angeles, for the newest and hottest looks for Fall/Winter 2015, Spring is right around the corner and I've got you covered for the must-have items and trends for the new, warmer fashion season.

The 70's: This is currently the hottest decade to draw inspiration from in the fashion community. From belle bottom silhouettes, fringe, floppy hats, pretty print, and flowy dresses, all-things 70's are on-trend this season.

Ballerina's are the belle of the ball: Really pretty and delicate looks dominated the runways this season. From chiffon and tulle skirts and dresses to criss-cross tops baring a peek of a midriff to dance practice inspired bottoms. Looking feminine fierce in ballerina-esque pieces will make you the belle of the fashion belle this season.

Full circle: The days of rocking square bags are over. Opt for circular bags to be trendy this season. You can still pack your essentials into you bags, just maybe not your laptop or iPad.

Call of Duty: Military inspired looks are taking command this Spring and you can soldier on in this trend by wearing fatigue prints, deep greens, military jackets, and army one-pieces.

Denim Dream: Denim is back in a big way. We love chambray button-ups, denim jumpers, and all-denim looks that mix-and-match different rinses from dark-to-medium-to-light denim colorways.
