“International footwear brand Mephisto – with a rich history spanning 50 years – hosted a VIP event last night, Thursday, October 11th to celebrate its cult-classic walking shoe, Mephisto Originals and to launch its 4-day Pop-up on Melrose Avenue.

The event was held in the pop-up, adjacent to iconic destination for sneakerheads and celebrities, Sportie LA, located at 7763 Melrose Ave and the adjoining parking lot, infamous for its influencer appeal due to its iconic murals.

The event, titled “#Mephistowalks” was designed to poke fun at the age-old presumption that Angelinos don’t walk. It brought together a slew of Influencers and industry VIP’s who were treated to a special gifting suite experience, which included an interactive room whereby a unique greenscreen treadmill feature had guests producing their own mini ‘walking films’ in their new Mephisto Originals shoes for social media.

Guests were treated to a live performance by singer-songwriter, Andrew Cole (Colorblind), accompanied by Black Eyed Peas’ guitarist, producer, George Pajon, and concert violinist, KOI whilst Muralist, Gustavo Zermeno created live a Mephisto Originals branded wall piece for the brand.”

Notable guests included: Christopher Reid (Kid from Hip-Hop duo, Kid N Play), George Pajon, Michael Evans Behling, Lyriq Bent, Rhuigi, Eric Ramirez, Jasmine White, Brandon Gray and Hugh Augustine. Specialty cocktails were provided by partners, ROK Drinks.

It’s officially Memorial Day Weekend, which means that summer is about to officially kick-off!

If you’re ready to unleash your inner fashionista while soaking up some sun, living poolside, and making lasting memories with your friends and family, then check out my top three style must-haves to have your most stylish summer yet.

#1: Have your go-to summer style uniform

I always love layering, even in the summer. My go-to summer style uniform is black tights, denim cut-offs, a black tank top, black studded heels, and a printed kimono.


#2: Have your go-to signature sunglasses

One of my favorite accessories to complete any outfit is a pair of signature shades. This summer, I’m obsessed with the iconic Aviator silhouette by Ray-Ban.


#3: Have your go-to sunscreen

We all want that bronze and golden glow, but we have to make sure to protect our skin from sun damage, lines, wrinkles, and aging, by layering up with a sunscreen that leaves your skin smooth and protected without any oily, flaky, or white residue.

My favorite sunscreen for summer has to be Supergoop Super Power Mousse SPF 50.

So last night was all about fashion, shopping, and rock-and-roll! Mastercard and Fred Segal hosted the ultimate launch party to start the upcoming music festival season right. 

During the Mastercard and Fred Segal Present Rock n Roll Holy Land An Exclusive and Interactive Experience by MadeWorn, we nibbled on yummy treats and sipped on signature cocktails by Absolut Elyx in their iconic copper coupes and Moscow mule glasses.

Special guests included Jason Momoa, Gene Simmons, Blaine Halvorson, Jason Scott Jenkins, Nick Simmons, DJ Cassidy & many others were in attendance and enjoyed music by Classixx who DJed the event.

 PURCHASE, NY and LOS ANGELES – April 11, 2018 – Window shopping takes on a whole new meaning at the Sunset Strip-themed retail experience Mastercard is launching with Fred Segal® just in time for the start of music festival season. Digital window shopping will make its debut with the opening of a ‘Rock ‘n Roll Holy Land’ at the Fred Segal store on Sunset Boulevard on April 11. The totally immersive exhibit will portray an intimate and authentic glimpse into the history of Sunset Strip by offering stories, insights, and memories from the minds of some of its most influential contenders.

MadeWorn, the LA-based creative brand specializing in handmade, American craftsmanship, is at the helm of conceiving the all-encompassing experience around the event. It will feature exclusive merchandise from the brand and artists including Gene Simmons of KISS, Phil Collen of Def Leppard, along with special appearances by B-Real & Sen Dog of Cypress Hill throughout the month.

The interactive shopping environment is the first in a series of activations that Mastercard will collaborate on with Fred Segal, with the digital display window technology embedded in the store environment. The partnership helps Mastercard and Fred Segal deliver what’s next in retail—an experiential environment where connected devices and digital technology bring a seamless, customizable experience for consumers.

In the store, visitors will be able to shop a carefully curated selection of products, including a variety of eccentric relics, photographs, and other treasures ranging from a complete 50 foot tour bus to historic neon signs. An extensive collection of over 300 vintage and custom garments provided by MadeWorn will also be available to help shoppers get music festival-ready.

For those who can’t stop by during store hours, the digital storefront windows make it shoppable day or night, extending the store’s hours and reach. Through the window, shoppers can browse and interact with MadeWorn merchandise, place items in a cart, and make a purchase right from their own phone using a unique link that is pushed to them via text message. There are no bulky bags to carry, as items are shipped to the address specified during checkout. Mastercard is also working with Snapchat to offer unique experiences for Mastercard cardholders by connecting Snapcodes directly to retail moments.

Back when I lived in New York City, I had the pleasure of meeting the critically acclaimed actor and director Gbenga Akinnagbe. Not only was he very gracious, he was also extremely passionate about a new apparel line that he was starting called Liberated People

Liberated People has grown and expanded from it's roots as a t-shirt line honoring the dates of when colonized countries regained their freedom, to truly being the voice of a movement and inspiring people to get involved and act in social change and justice.

The brunch with #DISNEYxKIEHLS was one of my most heart-warming experiences of the year.  We learned how Feeding America provides millions of meals a year to those in need and we were able to give back by preparing meals for an LA food bank today.

Forever 21 threw one of the coolest holiday parties ever this past Monday. When I walked in, it immediately felt like a winter wonderland with yummy cocktails, Electric Sky Wine, a massive snow globe, snow, and a bevy of who's who of Young Hollywood all in attendance.

Forever 21, one of the most recognized and largest independent fashion retailers in the world, launched their #CelebrateForever Holiday 2017 collection with a winter wonderland themed event, an intimate celebration to kick off the holiday season set under a moonlit backdrop. The fete featured a captivating live acoustic set by Maty Noyes and DJ set by Noodles, plus a live activation with Overheard LA.
