Traveling Abroad: Know All You Should (and Shouldn’t) Do While Packing

Candy WashingtonComment

Hi lovelies,

Are you setting foot to travel after a year-and-half of sitting at home, waiting for the global pandemic restrictions to be uplifted? Well, it’s sure to be an exciting excursion!

Now that you want your vacay to be the best out of all you’ve experienced in so many years of traveling, it is wise to be innovative. From planning, booking, and packing, you must begin the process well in advance. And, no matter what part of the world you’re traveling to, it is always beneficial to pack light.

After all, gone are the days when people packed an entire suitcase just for a weekend trip. It’s about being minimalist today!

This saying comes from many people realizing that they used only 75% of what they packed. And, having restricted space for souvenirs is not to mention. Thus, it is pretty safe to say that bringing less gives you more time to enjoy and feed your wanderlust.

Now that we’re talking of packing, you’re wondering about the things you should (and shouldn’t), of course, pack while setting foot to a foreign destination. Let’s get doing with discovering what these are:

1. Shouldn’t- Bring Multiples:
Even if you’re an avid traveler, it is wise not to lug around the diverse varieties of all you own to have fun. Some examples of all you don’t need to carry- more that item is high heels, sunglasses, hats, and jackets.

After all, you won’t need too many of these accessories, and they would only fill up your suitcase space, for no good!

2. Should- Bring Essential Toiletries:
This piece of advice comes from all the travelers- whether pro or not. It is wise to pack all the essentials like a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, etc. However, make sure you don’t bring large quantities of each. Instead, these should be small enough to fit in your leather dopp kits so that you’re able to carry them without much hassle.

Just consider how much product you’ll use and the available space for placing it into smaller containers. After all, remember to spend more time traveling and exploring than in front of the mirror.

3. Shouldn’t- Carry a Bunch of Makeup:
Understandably, you want to get a gazillion Instagramable pictures that’ll last at least a year to pop all eyes. However, you surely don’t want to waste your time trying to look like Kim Kardashian while on a trip.

Thereby, tote with minimal basics like a foundation, mascara, and a blush. Make sure to add versatile and lightweight items to your makeup pouch.

4. Should- Be Efficient:
It is always worthwhile to carry an item that works well for many purposes. For instance, this can include a single pair of comfortable sneakers or supportive heels. Know that these can help you for street walking, traveling, beachgoing, or even going out.

And, a good jacket may serve as warm clothing, a pillow, a heat source, or a blanket- all during your vacay.

The Verdict- Make a List
The best thing you can do is write down everything you may need during your trip and revise it like crazy. Ensure needing the items, and scratch off the others from the list if you have the slightest doubt. When satisfied, pull things off your shelves and out of your closet as you get down the list.

Hopefully, you’ve got a gist of the items you should and shouldn’t pack during your trip. After all, it’ll help you a pep in your step, with ease!
