Take a break. Whatever it is that is triggering your anxiety, he needs to take a break from it. It doesn't matter whether it's work, the kids, or a relationship in your life, you need to do what you can to reduce that anxiety. As soon as you recognise the trigger, figure out a way to move away from it. Learn how to take deep breaths. It might sound like a simple thing to do, but it's not easy to catch your breath at the moment. Slow deep breaths can help you to reduce your anxiety. It could help you to center yourself and keep your mind grounded. Deep breathing is also an excellent tool because you can do it anytime, anywhere. You can be on the train to work, at your desk, or you could be just waking up in the morning. There is always space and time for deep breathing.
Move your body. When you are anxious, you might feel like you are dealing with a tonne of pent up energy that has nowhere else to go. Instead of letting it fester, move your body and go for a walk or move your body while you dance. You need to be able to shake you out of your body so that you can feel normal again in some way.
Talk to someone you love. Whatever it is that's making you feel anxious, talk about it with somebody that you love very much. Not only will they be able to be there for you emotionally, but they will be able to be there for you physically and mentally. If you need someone just to come around with some chips and dip just to make you cheer up and feel better, a friend can do that for you and help you to shake out of your funk. You need to feel supported and know that you are not alone, and a good friend could do that for you.
Learn how to ground yourself. There are countless grounding activities out there, and all of them can help you to stay in the moment and not let your thoughts race around you. If your doctor has put you on any medication, or you are using any CBD to help yourself to be less anxious, you'll be able to find your way again.
