That in turn can help to open up the doors to experiencing more opportunities and more of what life has to offer. However, if you want to make some changes in your life, then you will want to do so in a positive way. So here are some things to be thinking about. 

Remove negativity from your life

Removing negativity from your life can sound much more simple to say that to actually do, right? But the thing is, if you are surrounded by negativity, then how can you think that you’ll be able to have a life that is happy, joyful and positive? In fact, it has been shown that people who are surrounded by negativity are more stressed, get sick more often, and generally have less opportunities come their way than their positive counterparts. Of course you are going to have worries and stresses in your life, but they should never inhibit you from doing what you really love. If you have yet to find a calming and stress relieving technique that works for you, try some of the following fabulous methods right now.

1. Hydrate! 
You might be surprised to hear that the amount of water in your body can have a direct affect on your mood. If you aren’t drinking enough you will feel slow, sluggish and unmotivated for most of the day. You are unique, and your selling points are different, and what you need in terms of cash per month is different too. 

The next thing that you should be aware of is that there are some things that all businesses need.

Cash 
The reason that so many small businesses close month on month is that they just can’t manage their money. When a lot comes in, they spend too much on new stock and don’t put enough away. And, this isn’t all about profit either - it is a lot about just merely not having cash to hand when you need it. If you aren't great at cash planning, then you are going to find yourselves closing shop very early. So, invest time in cash flow planning and always put some of your profits into an account to save for a time that you need it. 

Mailing List
If the world of social media when kaput tomorrow - what would you have left? Your mailing list. There are many software choices that you can use to manage your mailing list - you should look to find one that you can control with ease. It is always worth remembering that you need to have your address on each newsletter that you send out. If that isn't something you are comfortable with then, you might like to invest in a business address with physical office. So you are protecting your home address but still compliant with the rules. 

Talent
No person is an island, and some projects are just too big. When you are starting out, it might be helpful, and something that helps in the long run, to think about recruiting some freelancers to help when you take on larger projects. You can use online software like Trello, or Evernote to keep track of who is doing what, and when work has been submitted - and neither of them takes too long to master. This also means that you will be able to work at a much faster rate and produce a more diverse project outcome. 

Marketing Maketh The Company
Your marketing should always be driving your message. Who you are, what you do, where you can be found, and how you can help people. And, don’t worry - every business has more than its fair share of marketing faux-pas. You have time to learn how to get it right, and if you really can’t get to grips with it, there are thousands of freelancers and small companies that are fantastic at it. 

Peaks and troughs. There will be moments that everything becomes clear, and it feels like smooth sailing, and there will be moments that you feel like you aren’t getting anywhere. Both of those are essential in a small business. And, typically the harder stages are the ones where growth is happening!

See The Statue Of Liberty Up Close
You may have only seen her in movies, but seeing The Statue Of Liberty up close is something you’ll definitely want to experience. It’s one of those iconic buildings that are even more impressive in the flesh. Based on Liberty Island, there’s plenty of ferries that go back and forth to the statue every day, so it’s one of those tourist areas that is always going to be busy.

Pay Your Respects At The 9/11 Memorial Museum
It’s still harrowing to think about the events on September 11th 2001, where the Twin Towers fell after terrorists hijacked two planes which ended up killing nearly 3,000 civilians. However, although gone, they will never be forgotten, and there’s now a 9/11 memorial museum that has been created to honour those killed. It’s a very haunting and emotional experience but one that is very much worth visiting. 

Experience A New Type Of Dining At Ellen’s Stardust Diner
With every dining experience, there’s no one quite like Ellen’s Stardust Diner, and it’s still pretty unique even today. They sell typical American-style food but with the added twist that all the waiters and waitresses who serve you, sing too. They are mostly made up of performers that are fresh out of drama school or are between work and needing the extra money to take lessons and continue to live in the city. It’s certainly a great experience to have a professional sing while you’re eating.

Be Entertained At A Broadway Show
Talking of performers, one thing you absolutely must do is to see a broadway show. This past Saturday, July 20th, in Atlanta, GA, Food Network star and winner of the Chopped Redemption series, Chef Sammy Davis, Jr. alongside co-owner Monique Rose celebrated the Grand Opening of The Real Milk & Honey, an all-day brunch cafe that boasts an extensive menu that celebrates all things brunch!

To mark the power couple’s latest venture (they already have four thriving Milk & Honey Café locations in the Washington,DC area), The Real Milk & Honey opened its doors to a bevy of industry tastemakers, influencers and local Atlanta personalities this past weekend!

The event kicked off with a surprise, live, outdoor, cooking demo by Chef Sammy, the creative genius behind the restaurant’s decadent menu, and continued inside where guests, including Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law Pat Houston, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield, Atlanta personality and hairstylist Derek J., Saints & Sinners actress Jasmine Burke, Hollywood stylist and personality Phillip Bloch, and model and actor Darian Barnes sipped a signature “Adult Koolaid” cocktail and noshed on a tasting menu that included Chef Sammy’s signature Shrimp & Grits, Salmon / Sweet Potato & Kale Hash, and Fried Chicken with Honey Biscuits!

There are so many hobbies out there that people enjoy. Reading. Writing. Running. Skipping. You can list around a hundred hobbies, and there will be avid and excited followers of all of them. Some hobbies are healthy to have, and there are others that are just as fun, but perhaps not as healthy. It's very easy to follow and embrace hobbies that aren't so great for your health, but not always as easy to enjoy a hobby that is fantastic for your wellbeing. You should be able to enjoy whatever it is that's making you happy, but can you really appreciate it if it's affecting your health?

There are a lot of things that you can spend time doing, but the one thing that you need to know is whether you are doing something that is good for you or not. With that in mind, let's take a look at a few hobbies that you could be engaging in that are truly detrimental to your health.

Netflix and what?
Those binge-watched TV shows on your Netflix account make you feel happy. You've caught right up to the latest and greatest TV shows in your life, and that makes you feel fantastic. Here's the thing: spending time sitting on the couch and catching up on those shows could be having a toll on your health without you even realising. Sedentary life is not the life we humans were meant to lead: we are not slugs. You can still binge-watch those shows, but why not use a step like this while you do it? Or try weighted hula hoops while you watch; getting your heart going while you enjoy your show is a good way around it.

Gigging Away

Whether you are in a band or you are watching concerts live as much as possible, you need to pay attention to the way that your hearing is working. Exposure to loud music is not great on the ears, and if you're a musician yourself, you need to learn more about your hearing and the impact of the music on it. It doesn't mean that you have to give up something you love: it just means you have to get smart about it.

Excessive exercise
Running is supposed to be a healthy hobby, but it's not always the best thing for your body when it's in excess - much like anything else. You wouldn't mind the odd cheeseburger but probably wouldn't eat ten in a row. The same goes for running. Pushing yourself past your limits, running harder than your body is truly ready for and causing injury to your legs is one of the worst ways to spend your time. Talking to your doctor about what's safe for you can help you to find a healthy balance in your favourite hobby and allow you to enjoy it.

Hobbies should complement your life, not harm your health. Review what works for you and what you enjoy, and you'll start to feel great about yourself.

You could try using your break to have a quick gym session or yoga, have a relaxing walk in a park, or read a book in a coffee shop. If you practice something that will get the endorphins pumping, calm you or give you a zest of imagination, then you’ll be far more productive when you return to your desk.
