Kiehl’s Since 1851 chemists are known for pushing ingredients to their limits. Take avocados, for example: Kiehl’s has believed in their potential for years, originally harnessing the fruit’s benefits in the Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado when it launched in 1970.
Now, Kiehl’s is proud to introduce the latest formula to emerge from the apothecary, the NEW Avocado Nourishing Hydration Mask. The avocado face mask with everyone’s favorite superfood to provide a richly replenishing, deeply hydrating treatment that helps nourish the skin with moisture in a matter of minutes, leaving 91.7% of users reporting that their skin felt smooth immediately after use. The innovative creamy texture of the hydrating face mask mimics that of the original fruit, feeling both comforting and luxurious on the skin.

“We’ve recognized the power of avocados for a while now, but for this new skincare formula we specifically studied the science surrounding this amazing ingredient to maximize its hydration benefits for skincare,” says Roberta Weiss, Head of Product Innovation for Kiehl’s. “In addition to delivering efficacy, we also wanted the experience of using our mask to be unique. When you open a fresh jar of our mask, it looks and feels like a perfectly ripe slice of avocado. KEY INGREDIENTS
Avocado Fruit Extract
Kiehl’s uses concentrated Avocado Fruit Extract from the fruit pulp, sourced and cultivated in the United States. Skin is revitalized and restored thanks in part to the extract’s high level of lipid soluble components that help play a role in the formula to support skin’s natural hydrating processes as well as lock in moisture on the skin’s surface for healthier looking skin over time. The extract is obtained by grinding the fruit, followed by a sophisticated filtration system and finally, blending it with a favorite Kiehl’s ingredient: skin-loving, olive-derived Squalane.
Avocado Oil
Kiehl’s pressed and refined Avocado Oil is sourced from Italy and Spain. The nurturing ingredient is a rich source of unsaturated essential fatty acids, including a potent blend of omegas that play a role in this mask to deeply hydrate the skin and boost its barrier function.
Evening Primrose Oil
Kiehl’s chemists primarily source the Evening Primrose Oil from Europe, and are able to extract the precious oil by cold pressing its seeds. This fragrant yellow flower contains a naturally high source of unsaturated fatty acids that help play a role in the formula to improve skin quality.
