How Life Unfolds with Paper & Packaging

Hi lovelies,

As a writer, actor, and content creator, I wanted to share a few ways that I stay happy, motivated, inspired, and positive throughout my life and career. Using these simple lifestyle tips has helped me to stay creative and has improved my productivity. I’m able to truly take a step back from our hectic, digital lives, and enjoy how life unfolds.

One of my favorite and most satisfying ways to spend my time is by creating inspirational mood boards. I cut out images, words, and phrases from my favorite magazines and then I paste them on my paper poster boards and sit them around my apartment for inspiration whenever I need to feel creative and positive.

When I’m creating my mood boards, it’s my time to unplug and be truly present in what I’m doing without the usual distractions of the apps on my phone, notifications dings, or messages and videos popping up.

Plus, another perk of going old-school with a pen and a pad is that I don’t have to worry about carrying around my bulky computer or laptop, and I can easily keep my notebook and planner with me at all times so whenever I need an escape from the hustle-and-bustle of the social media world that we live in, I can jot down my thoughts.

Another way that I stay inspired and positive is by writing down my daily, weekly, and monthly goals and when I achieve them, I love the feeling of physically crossing it off of my list and then doing something to reward myself and celebrate.

I also love leaving myself motivational post-its around my apartment as daily reminders of my self-worth, capabilities, and as a confidence boost. What also brings me joy is handwriting thank-you notes as a way to share and express my gratitude with my friends and family.

Additionally, when I have auditions, one trick that I use to remember my lines is that I write them down with my pencil and pad of paper. It helps to bring the character to life when write down the words and then read them back to myself.

Let me know which of these tips help you to enjoy how life unfolds.

How To Get The Skin You Deserve With Isdin Flavo-C Ultraglican

BeautyCandy Washington1 Comment

Hi lovelies,

It's no secret that I suffer from hyper-pigmentation, which just means that my skin is prone to scarring due to break-outs and skin irritations.

Growing up I always had clean and clear skin, but I also grew up on the East Coast, my hyper-pigmentation an break-outs didn't kick-in until I made the big leap to the West Coast and the climate change, dry air, water quality, and pollution, caused my crystal clear skin to freak out, so ever since, I've been on the hunt to balance out my break-outs and clear up my good skin for good.

That's why I'm super excited to have Isdin Flavo-C Ultraglican by my side to reduce fine lines and brighten my skin in a healthy way. All I have to do is shake the tiny vial before using it and then I take the special plastic protector to open the top of the ampoule. Then I put on the provided dosification cap and then I apply half ampoule in my hand and heat it up by slightly rubbing it between my palms.

Once warmed up, I rub it on my face and neck, making sure to focus on my problem areas the most and avoiding my eye areas.

Don't forget to close the ampoule with its cap to preserve the rest of the product from oxidation and it can be used up to 24hrs after opening. Make sure it's stored properly in a clean, dry, and dark environment.

Why Every Beauty Girl Uses Gillette Venus During Their Sunday Skincare Routine

BeautyCandy Washington1 Comment

This post was sponsored by Gillette Venus as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

Hi lovelies,

Skincare Sunday is one of my favorite days of the week, especially now that I have the new Gillette Venus Platinum Extra Smooth Razor by my side to add an added layer of pampering to my skincare routine. That’s why during one of my favorite past-times, which is browsing the beauty and skincare sections at Target and on Target.com, I always make sure to grab one so I’m properly prepared for smooth and healthy skin before-and-after shaving.

I remember when I was growing up and I first started shaving my legs and using the Gillette Fusion® Hydra Gel Moisturizing Shave Gel because it helped to keep my sensitive and young skin moisturized without any dry moments or cracking.

Now that I’m a bit older, it’s even more of a priority to take the time to make sure that my skin stays healthy, hydrated, and youthful. During my Skincare Sunday routine, I take a long, hot shower to relax my body and muscles. Then I make sure to exfoliate, cleanse, and hydrate my face and indulge with masks and serums.

IMG_0640.JPG

But another essential part of my Sunday Skincare session is to shave my legs and underarms to make sure that they are smooth throughout the week with just a few maintenance shaves in-between sessions, for long-lasting smooth skin. This is super important because throughout the week, I’m constantly running in-between meetings, photo-shoots, and being on-set, so the last thing that I need is to worry about whether or not my legs and underarms are camera-ready.

Due to the innovative new design of the Venus Platinum Extra Smooth Razor metal handle that is made especially for women, it makes it the perfect razor to pamper myself with during my sessions. The perfectly balanced metallic handle makes it easier for me to keep my grip while shaving in the shower, and the sleek, premium design that features a satin chrome finish gives me more control while shaving for less nicks and smoother, healthier skin.

CE96D2CE-58C9-44EA-9B77-5EDCEBBDE40D.JPG

Plus, the razors comes with a 360˚ Ribbon of Moisture, which means that it has a premium glide technology that encompasses the blades and releases lubricants when wet for an advanced level of protection, comfort, and glide, along with five blades that has a diamond-like coat that makes my shaving experience even more pleasurable.

Ready to up your Sunday Skincare routine? Then definitely visit the Target nearest you starting on April 22nd, for the exclusive Venus Platinum Touch and learn display to experience the new razor for yourself and take your skincare wellness to the next level.
