Just in time for Valentine's Day, NYLON magazine threw a lovely party in honor of the upcoming movie, 50 Shades Darker, that hits theaters on the sweet day of February 14th.   • 1 Cup of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water

  • 3 Chopped strawberries

  • 1 Small handful of blueberries

  • 1 Small handful of blackberries

  • 1 Chopped medium banana

  • 1 Cup of fresh spinach

  • 2 Scoops of your protein powder of choice

Combine all ingredients into a blender and puree until the smoothie is liquidized to the consistency of choice.

Pour and enjoy!

#2: Replenish your antioxidants after your workout

I'm obsessed with staying active and living in sunny California, there's no shortage of fun activities to keep me in shape, happy, and healthy. Some of my favorite things to do is to go hiking in Runyon Canyon or at the Griffith Observatory, take a new Pure Barre class, take a cardio-kickboxing class, hit the gym, run outside, or try a new hot yoga studio.

Los Angeles Dives into Weird Beauty Trend with SnailPrimp

January 31, 2017: On Sunday, hip Los Angelenos experienced the latest Korean beauty craze to be imported stateside—#SnailPrimp. A snail-themed pop-up spa at the rooftop of the Ace Hotel Downtown, featuring exclusive SnailPrimp facials, welcomed the fashion-and-beauty-forward set that was willing to turn to snails to get fabulously glowing skin.

Guests were treated to complimentary, high-end mini facials using snail mucin products: snail cleanser, snail toner, snail mask and snail cream. Just short of putting actual snails on guests' skin, aestheticians applied the products with special faux-snail applicators, simulating the experience of real snails crawling on guests’ faces. To enjoy SnailPrimp's brilliant rewards year-round, guests were gifted a set of snail products to take home.

While a bit strange, snail extract actually packs a powerful punch to combat aging by stimulating new collagen, by repairing sun damage and scars and by deeply hydrating skin. The skincare-obsessed community has only recently incorporated snails into beauty routines to slow down the aging process, but the small critters have relieved skin imperfections for centuries, a testament to their true magical properties. Beverly Hills Plaza Medi Spa: Diamond Polish with Microneedle Stem Cell Facial

I first fell in love with The Beverly Hills Plaza Hotel & Spa, when one of my best friends stayed at the hotel while on a work trip from San Francisco, and I happily agreed to keep him company in the luxurious, multi-room hotel suite that included a kitchen, a balcony, and access to a heated pool. The décor is immaculate with the customer service to match.

But just when I thought I couldn't love The Beverly Hills Plaza Hotel & Spa any more, I received a very relaxing and therapeutic Diamond Polish with Microneedle Stem Cell Facial, with the esteemed medical esthetician, Jeanie Bryant, at the hotel's Medi Spa. Based on this lovely experience, which was courtesy of Gilt City L.A., my love affair with the decadent yet welcoming hotel only deepened.

When I entered the spa, I was greeted by the beautiful Malia, who talked me through the entire procedure for the facial, so I immediately felt at ease and knew what to expect. Next, I was treated to a pre-facial relaxation time in the steam room after getting comfortable in a spa robe and removing my make-up with the complimentary facial cleanser.

Now it was finally time to experience the Diamond Facial and since I'm always on-camera, it's never been more important for me to make sure that my skin is clear, healthy, and glowing. My problems areas included breakouts due to pollution and hormones and the removal of acne scars. Luckily for me, the Diamond Facial would help me achieve my skin goals and more. It should be noted that the facials work best as a series and it's best to book a package with multiple sessions that you can go-to every 2-3 weeks for long-lasting results.

During the Diamond Facial treatment, I relaxed in a NASA-approved infrared bed where I was burning up to 600 calories every 30 minutes while removing tension in my neck and back. PETA's "How to Make It in Vegan Fashion" Panel and Runway Show

On January 27th, PETA and actor Daniella Monet of Victorious, hosted and moderated the event. The essence of the event was fashion with a purpose and protecting animal rights while looking fashionably fierce.

The panel consisted of a group of intelligent, powerful, and influential female designers that included Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart of VAUTE, Morgan Bogle of Freedom of Animals, Meg and Komie Vora of Delikate Rayne, Bianca Moran of SUSI Studio, and Stephanie Nicora of NICORA.

The dynamic panel shared valuable insights on why vegan fashion and apparel is the newest trend that here's to stay, how to successfully navigate the fashion industry, and the secrets of sourcing vegan textiles and how they use them in their styles and designs.
