GET THE LOOK WITH DIOR
Face: Even out your skin tone with Diorskin Forever Liquid Foundation. Lightly dust over the foundation with Diorskin Nude Powder for a translucent glow.
A natural hint of color to the cheek using Dior Blush color, Passion Fruit. Apply with a medium sized brush, sweeping back toward the ear.
Eyes: Using Dior 1 Color Eyeshadow Palettes, start with the lightest shade, Nude Luminescence, just under the brow and on the inside corner of the eye. Next apply the darkest shade, Flash Black, across the eyelid. Apply the mid-tone, Sepia, into the crease of the eye to blend the dark and light together. Also sweep this along the bottom lash line.
Apply a solid line of Black Dior Crayon Kohl Pencil, to the top lash line and smudge with a Q-tip. Do the same on the bottom lash line but start at the outer corner, blending across with the Q-tip.
Add maximum volume to your lashes with 2 coats of Diorshow Extase Mascara
Lips: Add some shine to the lip with a color that enhances your natural lip tone- Dior Addict Lipstick, Beige Perfection.

I've been in a very retrospective mood lately, perhaps because of the impending New Year and the phantom pressure to create resolutions that you know you'll break. Can't wait to break - which is why you made them in the first place of course.
But I just have to wonder, do we change because of time and events that happen to us or does time and events that we experience change because we do?
Some thing that I have learned of late is that acting immaturely can be devastatingly gratifying at times as long as you are aware of the intent of your actions and prepared for their inevitable consequences. I'm mischievous and insouciant by nature so I'm always game. I suppose it's the Sagittarius in me.
The greatest lesson I've learned from 2011? Forewarned is forearmed. So take heed.

MARNI TO DESIGN A SPRING COLLECTION FULL OF SIGNATURE PRINT AND PATTERN FOR H&M

I'm so stoked for this collaboration!!! From my friends at H&M and Marni to you!! Start making your wish list now... xxx
| Press Release - November 29th, 2011 | |
MARNI TO DESIGN A SPRING COLLECTION FULL OF SIGNATURE PRINT AND PATTERN FOR H&MH&M is proud to announce a spring designer collaboration with the Italian brand Marni. Famed for its original prints and inventive spirit, Marni is one of fashion’s most-loved labels, and its founder and creative director, Consuelo Castiglioni, has created a spring collection for H&M for both women and men that captures the essence of Marni. Available from March 8, 2012 in over 250 stores worldwide and online, the collection features both clothing and accessories, all at H&M’s prices, allowing everyone the chance to enter Marni’s world. “I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints. As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colors, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic and adding sporty utilitarian elements,” says Consuelo Castiglioni. Founder and Creative Director. “We all love the collection here at H&M and we believe that our customers will feel the same way. Marni has such a modern touch with everything they do, mixing prints and accessories in a playful but chic way. It’s fantastic to see how Consuelo Castiglioni coordinates her designs, matching new combinations of prints and colors, with such incredible craftsmanship behind every piece. The collection will arrive in stores at just the perfect time. as the collection will truly prove to be a lovely statement for spring,” comments Margareta van den Bosch, Creative Advisor for H&M. Marni is a label that follows its own path and sets its own trends for prints, cuts and silhouettes, which are always playful and elegant. Marni has remained a family- owned business even as it has grown to become an international luxury brand with stores around the world. Marni’s collection for H&M has all the freedom and experimentation for which the label is renowned, with all-over prints in strong colors intended to be worn together in layers that both match and clash. For women, the colors are vivid, and the prints are bold, be they African-inspired or simpler color blocks. The silhouettes are all Marni staples, with full pleated skirts, dresses, cropped pants and jacquard knits; fabrics range from silk to crisp cotton poplin. To complete the look, the collection also includes jewelry, shoes, bags and scarves. For men, the colors and fabrics are softened for a relaxed take on menswear staples that are truly Marni. The use of prints is subtle; they often appear as a lining or as a contrast detail for shirts; the silhouette is a modern, relaxed take on masculine classics. The Marni collection is the latest designer collaboration for H&M, which has previously collaborated with brands such as Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garçons, Jimmy Choo, Lanvin, and most recently Versace. Let's hear it for the boys! jac5 Official Launch!
4 CommentsFrom my friends at jac5 to you! Last week jac5 opened an exciting new concept store in Hong Kong, and launched their online shop, www.jac5.com.
Read below for their press release and photos!! xxx
Candy's tip: These would be a great stocking stuffer for that special man in your life!
jac5 MAN’S (NEW) BEST FRIEND
THE jac5 ‘TALE’
Success breeds success and jac5 founder James A Christopher (‘JAC’) knows what it takes to be successful. Through his years of extensive experience in being a male, Jim identified a void in the men’s underwear market: quality, style, and comfort were in decline. Jim’s solution — create his own! He saw an opportunity to develop a premium, modern luxury underwear brand for men that was comfortable and stylish but one that also had a keen sense of humour (Jim’s philosophy is that it’s important to have fun in life). Jim believed it was time for dressing well to start from the inside out; it was time to make underwear a forethought, not an afterthought. And it was time for a little less underwear conversation and a little more action. Gathering together some of the best designers, manufacturers, and marketers in the industry, Jim gave them a mission to create the best undies for man’s best friend. jac5 was born.
WHY jac5?
jac5 is a brand with a sense of humour, and this is reflected in everything we do. The ‘brand identity’ is driven by Jim’s 5 much loved and incredibly spoilt pet Jack Russell terriers. Loyal, super smart and at times barking mad, the personality traits of Jim’s dogs have been a guiding influence (and a guiding voice too - check out our online ‘dog blog’) in all that we have created. Loyal, the essence of a true gentleman; barking mad, often seen in his alter ego; and, without question, super smart (that’s why the jac5 man is so successful!).
THE RANGE
jac5 has three product collections: LOYAL – stylish, casual, comfortable everyday underwear. SUPERSMART – designed for suiting up and dressing for success. BARKING MAD – our fashion collection. Colourful, stylish and a just that little bit quirky.
A PREMIUM BRAND
In tune with progressive, successful men, the jac5 underwear brand is a premium product that delivers comfort and style for a true essential in any man’s life - his underwear. Successful men know how to manage their assets, and we do too! Our premium positioning is infused in all of the brand’s touch points - from its expertly engineered product design, to using the finest fabrics and manufacturing, through to its online identity, packaging, social content and retail concept store that showcases a modern fusion of art and undies. jac5 is contemporary and presents a fresh understanding of modern luxury, while at the same time not taking life too seriously.
Success is earned, and jac5 delivers an outstanding premium brand experience for its customers.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
From the beginning, design and quality have been at the forefront of our thinking. From the product to our brand identity; website to concept store — we don’t compromise (but then neither do successful men). jac5 underwear has been fine tuned with extraordinary detail: trunks, briefs and boxers with sophisticated, super soft, laser cut waistbands, superior stitching and premium fabrics that are designed to flatter the pouch and the bum (just the way the ladies like it!). jac5 is the thinking man’s solution to all that isn’t quite right with what is available in today’s marketplace: itchy waistbands, uncomfortable fits, mediocre manufacturing and products with a short life span and no sex appeal. We have seen the problems and we are providing the solution. For us delivering on both form and function is key.
FULLY INTEGRATED BRAND EXPERIENCE
With its website and online identity, men and women can make the most of the informative, entertaining, and fun jac5 experience. We’re not just about men, either - it’s important to us that women also enjoy what we have to offer (after all, they are the primary influence in what men wear!). jac5 provides a fast, sophisticated and hassle-free online shopping experience. We offer free international shipping delivered to your door in our premium packaging - a re-useable, stylish, zip mesh envelope. jac5 is developing an ambassador program of established and successful men that are in tune with our brand values.
The jac5 concept store in Hong Kong offers a truly unique retail experience. Guests can explore and enjoy the world’s one and only men’s underwear art gallery. The store and gallery will be a unique space that supports up and coming artists through its ‘art and undies’ program. Watch this space!
