The New York FAME Fashion Week and Twin Tower Orphan Fund Kick-off 2011 Partnership

New York, NY (September 2011) - Friday, September 9th, 2011, will mark the kick-off of The New York FAME’s “Fashion Show Charity Benefit” at the Metropolitan Pavilion 125 West 18th Street NY, NY 10011. The purpose of New York FAME and The Twin Tower Orphan Fund’s partnership is to honor and remember the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 through a Fashion Week Charity Fashion Show.
The benefit will increase awareness and raise funds for the admirable organization. Additionally, the event is endorsed by Council Member Margaret Chin, Chairman Julie Menin, and Vice Chairman Catherine McVay Hughes.

“The New York Fame is proud to be associated with the 9/11 Orphan Fund. An education is a necessity for any child, but we feel it is even more important to empower and support children who lost one or more parent to the terrorist attacks in New York City on 9-11-01 and help ensure they have the best chance possible to succeed” said Melisa Brown, President & CEO of The New York FAME. “Our commitment includes donating a percent of all proceeds associated with any of our events leading up to and including Fashion Week, 2011 in the form of $20,000 scholarships for as many children as possible.”

About The Twin Tower Orphan Fund
The Twin Towers Orphan Fund was founded on September 11, 2001 for the sole purpose of providing educational and welfare assistance to the children who were orphaned (who lost one or both parents) by the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The mission of the Twin Towers Orphan Fund is to provide long-term higher educational assistance and mental and physical healthcare assistance for (a) children who lost parents in the World Trade Center, at the Pentagon, or onboard the four downed airliners, and (b) children of victims of future terrorist attacks.
