Hi lovelies,
When it comes to making a statement, nothing speaks louder than the car that you drive, which is why I can’t wait to attend the 2017 L.A. Auto Show. Just like your outfit or hairstyle, your car is a reflection of your personal style and values. For example, I value being mindful of my carbon footprint and my personal impact on the environment, so the type of car that I drive is important in representing my personal values as a way to lower my carbon footprint while protecting the environment.
In alignment with my values and sense of style, I also love seeing who wins big at the Automotive Excellence Award during the annual Great Designs in Steel (GDIS) conference presented by the Steel Market Development Institute (SMDI). According to SMDI, its “objective is to grow the markets for steel in the automotive, construction and container industries and for value-added long products, as well as in non-traditional steel markets such as energy.” The Automotive Excellence Award marries the best of both worlds, optimizing the use and production of steel without sacrificing style and design.
In addition to making a style statement and being mindful to make eco-friendly buying decisions, I’m super excited for the upcoming L.A. Auto Show because it has over a 1,000 vehicles on display at the L.A. Convention Center starting on December 1st through the 10th. You get to shop for a new car without feeling overwhelmed by pushy salespeople. You can also test drive the cars, discover customized cars, and check out the newest advancements in tech.

The car that I’m most excited to explore has to be the all-new Hyundai Kona. It has the heritage of the Hyundai Motor’s SUV with a new compact SUV platform, modern design with full-LED twin headlamps, a two-tone roof, with the option to customize with the choice between ten distinctive exterior colors. Additionally, the interior stitching on the seats can come in different colors, the steering wheel is very stylized, and the air vents are attractive, which makes the inside of the Kona it’s own haven for the driver and passengers. What also sets Kona a part is that it’s an authentic SUV with four-wheel drive and 7DCT options with Hyundai’s newest features from modern turbocharged petrol engines to the newest generation of diesel technology.
The Hyundai Kona also offers enhanced safety features that includes Autonomous Emergency Braking that incorporates pedestrian detection. Drivers and passengers can also enjoy Display Audio, which is a first in Hyundai technology to make connectivity accessible through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that can be used on a seven-inch screen. Another Hyundai first that’s available in the Kona is the combiner head-up display that has class-leading luminance that projects relevant driving information directly into your line of sight. Plus, the Kona offers a premiere, high-end sound system created by Krell, that showcases eight speakers and an amplifier delivers concert hall sound quality to all everyone in the vehicle.
