My very first line I ever designed... my inspiration was the indie film "The Science of Sleep", starring the beautiful Gael Garcia Bernal and the indie fashion fav Charlotte Gainsbourg. Let me know your thoughts... starting my fall collection this weekend...definitely will incorporate chocolate browns, sequins, comfy sweaters and tall boots.

Sparkly Mini-Dress Fashion Week f/w 07

Adorable sequined mini-dresses are here to stay. I love how Cecilia Mendez (featured here at L.A.M.B.) gave it a new rocker-chic twist. Especially like the sheer black peek-a-boo fabric on the hem line.

Ok... I am all for taking fashion risks... but this is a bit much! There will be none of this in my line!!! I'll definitely have to gift Posh Spice some of my clothes once in production...

What's in a name?

So far I have come up with "Candy by Candy Washington"... but is that a total rip-off of "Marc by Marc Jacobs"?? I definitely need some help in the fashion line name department... any thoughts? And since my name is Candy... it's hard not to be too cheesy.

I love this outfit. It's simple, chic. As a huge Olsen fan, my line will definitely take cue from these girls, comfortable yet fashion-forward.
