Hi lovelies,

We are at a time where making the world a better place is essential for our survival. We can do our part to make it a better place. Part of our own self-care is helping others to be their best selves while we achieve the same. There are careers out there that can help contribute to the world in a positive way.  Here are four important careers that help change the world.

Social Work
Everyone needs a little help sometimes, and being a social worker helps you be there for people who need it the most. Social workers help people work through their problems and find a place in the world where they belong and where they can thrive. Social workers are also able to treat and diagnose mental illnesses and behavioral issues. For many people, their social worker is their lifeline and support system when life is at its most dark. That kind of help and love goes a long way and can change a life from bad to good overnight.

Education
We have all seen the movies and TV shows where the teacher comes and saves the day by influencing a child’s life. Entertainment has created many of these stories because there is a kernel of truth in every one of them. Educators are sometimes the best role models for young children who don’t have a positive role model anywhere else in their lives. Teachers are educated, natural leaders, and are a kind of stability for kids. Educators have the opportunity to reach out and change a child’s life and play a major role in molding them for the future, inspiring them to be their best, and to forge a plan for the future where they can have a successful and wonderful life.

Nursing
In recent years, we have all learned how essential nurses are to the world. Long hours, helping patients, and saving lives are all in a day’s work. Although the work can sometimes be grueling, nurses are the backbone of the medical world and healthcare system and without them, many patients may not have the courage and strength to get well and save their own lives. Nurses start off around $60,000 per year, and with a masters you can earn more. You can easily get an online msn (Master of Science in Nursing) and add about $30,000 per year to your salary. Nursing is a high paying job that changes lives every moment.

Community Service Manager
Community service managers are the real workers behind getting community programs off the ground and fully operational. In many neighborhoods, children and the elderly need programs that help them remain active, integrated, and learning. Although many people may have great ideas, it’s the service manager who puts the weight behind an idea and finds a way to make it happen. Social programs can change an entire community for the better, making it safer and thriving, and none of that would happen without someone pushing the idea along.
