How to Create an Inspirational Home

Hi lovelies,

If your home stresses you, makes you breathe funny or doesn’t inspire you, then it’s not a happy or healthy home - it’s time to make some changes. Start by decluttering your home to reduce stress, followed by cleaning and creating neat spaces for inspiration to come along. 

Stress Reduction 

If you’ve ever been in a cluttered space, you’ll know how it makes you feel, your head starts to tighten, and anxiety builds up where there wasn’t any before. This is called stress, and you are not the only one to experience it in a cluttered room - studies show that clutter creates stress.

Think of your home at the moment? Is it neat, or do you have things lying around that could be put away in a cupboard or a storage container? The neater you make your living space, the better you will feel in general, so why not start as you mean to go on by improving your spaces

Allergy Prevention 

If you have allergies, then you need to take extra care with your bedsheets and carpets; these places can fill up with dust mites that aggravate your immune system. Basically, the mites leave droppings that enter your body and cause the immune system to react with powerful antibodies.

However, even if you don’t experience allergies from your carpets and bed sheets, you can still develop them if you don’t keep these areas clean on a regular basis. Carpets are cozy, but they require more maintenance than flooring - call Chem-Dry if you want to improve your home life. 

More Inspiration 

Your home needs to be your sanctuary, the place where you feel relaxed, comfortable, and inspired. At least that’s the goal. Of course, there’s a bit of work to put in first to get there, but luckily it’s the kind of work that should come easily to you since it’s all about your wellness. 

Set your home up the way you want it, and you will find more inspiration appears in your life. If you have a relaxation space such as a bath or a garden room, thoughts and ideas will come to you in here that wouldn’t otherwise; this inspiration is the sign of a happy and balanced home. 

Better Sleep Patterns 

You’ve probably heard it said a million times, but sleep patterns are vital to your wellbeing and happiness. If you aren’t getting enough sleep or your patterns are interrupted with work or snoring, it’s time to make some changes. Also, consider how much light and exercise you get.

Everyone has circadian rhythms; these are the natural day-night cycles that are programmed into our brains. If you stay up too late, you risk knocking your circadian rhythms out of balance and upsetting your sleep patterns which leads to sub-optimal wellness in the short and long run. 

More Self Care Time

Although it takes time, effort, and energy to make your home the way you want it, it’s definitely worth the effort. After everything is set up, it takes far less time and energy to stay on top of it, resulting in more time for yourself and your self-care routine. So how are you going to use it?
