Punk rock princess...
my love for and affinity toward new york city has multiplied over this past weekend... on friday, i ran along my usual route, the chelsea piers and it was such a beautiful day... i finally dragged my bag of clothes to the salvation army (yes, that same bag of clothes i have been meaning to drop-off since i moved into my new place in february, better late than never i suppose...) then i moseyed over to union square to enjoy a band that was playing, and it turned out it was my buddy kevin's band! ( myspace.com/undergroundhorns) ... so i hung with them for a bit as they jammed out... then cari met up and we made a pit-stop at jamba juice and walked around, perused free people, anthropologie, banana republic, etc. and then lazied about madison square park... we ventured to boqueria for dinner, a spanish tapas place, had sangria and nibbled on grilled octopus... we then joined the guys at little branch, a quiant speakeasy in the west village and sipped on yummy ginger drinks... i left the gang to join tanya at pravda, a russian speakeasy in soho where i sipped on a concotion of st germain and cucumber and something... and we laughed the night away... of course i spent endless hours on the phone with benji - he's in the midst of shooting his first feature film - i am very proud of my director schechter... last night i watched real world 22: cancun on mtv.com, and it was actually very entertaining (i cannot stand jonna, she's so manipulative)... and then i went to brass monkey for amit's birthday, and jenny and her friend stopped by as well, and that was a smashing time... literally, a fight broke out, which was odd, because one of the guys was this guy joshua, who i met that night, tall, skinny, blonde with glasses and was a physicist who also studied eastern philosophy so we were instant buds... until he got in a bar fight... he was seemingly so harmless... but the rest of the night was great though... dancing and singing.... late night after-bar pizza stop (although i was good and did not partake, i came home and polished off left-over chinese)... hope you all had eventful weekends as well...
